Siding — Tyvek-Wrapped House
June 2026 · 17 photos
Old siding stripped, Tyvek HomeWrap, new gray siding with trimmed windows.
This two-story house had old siding that needed to go. We pulled it off and piled it in the yard, which left the old painted wood clapboard underneath, weathered and peeling.
With the walls stripped, we wrapped the house in Tyvek HomeWrap, one side at a time, including the walls under the covered porch.
Then the new gray siding started going up from the foundation, and the windows were trimmed out as the courses reached them. The last photos show the gray siding climbing the walls with the wrap still showing above.
