Pool Deck — Farmhouse

Posts, framing, decking, stairs and black metal railings around the pool.

We started this pool deck on May 4 by setting posts around the above-ground pool. Beams went across the posts and the joists followed, with the framing shaped to the round edge of the pool.

Decking started going down on May 5. Each board along the pool was cut to follow the curve, so the deck meets the pool edge cleanly. On May 7 we set the stair stringers at the edge of the deck.

From May 8 to May 10 we built out the stairs and installed black metal railings around the deck and down the stairs. The finished deck wraps the pool with a set of stairs down to the yard.
